Welcome to the first issue of (insert title here), the new music zine from the folks at WRCU. Going beyond our radio broadcasting and diving into the realm of printed media, (insert title here) hopes to make the idea of college radio more obvious for those that have wondered, "Why don't they play Dave Matthews Band or [insert name of overplayed commercial act] on WRCU?" The answer is simple, that isn't what college radio is all about and maybe after flipping through the pages you'll understand why it is this way. Maybe we can even open your ears just a smidgen more to some great new music that is a little more underground, after all isn't it hip to be underground?

     In addition to attempting to educate on the topic of college radio in general, (insert title here) will try to open the doors of our humble little station in Drake Hall and make things a little more personal. WRCU is after all your radio station and perhaps through DJ profiles, station updates, and other little insights, you will feel more informed and connected to WRCU, Colgate University's own radio station.
